In November, 2012, Father Luigi Villa of Brescia, Italy wrote a 13 page letter to all of the Cardinals of the Catholic Church. The topic of this letter was on the proposed vote of the beatification of Paul VI on December 11, 2012.
Fr. Villa, acting once again as a "Devil's Advocate," reiterated all of the key points on why this beatification process should be halted immediately.
After reading this letter, there can be no doubt that Paul VI's life was far from a virtuous and holy one. Instead one must come to the conclusion that He is the one in need of the Church's prayers for the respose of his soul rather than the faithful invoking him for his intercession in their temporal and spiritual needs.
